Benin-based legal practitioner, Sir Osagie Oaikhena, joins the global community in celebrating the International Day of the Girl Child.
In his message, Sir Oiakhena emphasized the importance of empowering the girl child through access to quality education, equal opportunities, and protection from all forms of discrimination and abuse. He noted that societies thrive when girls are supported to reach their full potential, adding that every girl deserves a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment to dream and succeed.
He further called on government, stakeholders, and communities to continue investing in the education, leadership, and well-being of girls, stressing that “when we uplift the girl child, we uplift humanity.”
