A renowned Professor of Law, and a Former 2nd Vice President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Professor (Mrs.) Foluke Dada -Lawason , has sent her goodwill message to Muslim Lawyers. The statement reads thus:

Dear Learned Colleagues, today is a day set aside to commemorate the Birth of the Holy Prophet Mohammed. This celebration is usually marked with prayer service to Almighty Allah, Conversation and meals sharing. The Holy Prophet, lived a life dedicated to prayers and noble deeds. It is my honest wish that our dear Muslim Colleagues must continually do the best to emulate the teachings of Holy Prophet Mohammed S.A.W, and pursue his holy teachings, most especially in Salah ( Prayers) and Zakat (almsgiving) : as it stands now, our great country need more of Charity and prayers. As Muslim Legal Practitioners , it is always expected that you protect the Rights of the less privileged, be a voice to the voiceless in the society as we hope for a better society without discrimination. May I also use this medium to commend  the Muslim Lawyers Association of Nigeria ( MULAN) for their service to humanity and our association, and wish them well as they commemorate the Birth of the Holy Prophet Mohammed. I have no doubt that today’s celebration will be physically and spiritually impactful, not only to the legal profession but to Nigeria at Large.  Please Accept My Honest Wishes.
