I salute the Executive and Members of the Fountain Bar on their Law Week, with the theme “From Honour to Hustle? Reclaiming the Noble Identity of the Legal Profession.”. Apart from the fact that this theme is compelling it tends to call for discussion the challenges of today’s Nigerian Lawyer.
The noble legal profession must be protected and dignified at all times irrespective of the challenges facing the country. Lawyers all over the world are like tin-gods, but sadly in Nigeria the professional dignity of the Nigerian Lawyer is fast eroding.
